SMS opt-in
Jupley collects SMS consent with a checkbox on a web form on our website, not through a chat widget, pop-up, or by text message. The form is the final step of signup at jupley.com/signup. It is reproduced below exactly so it can be reviewed without creating an account. No recurring message is sent unless the box is checked and the button is pressed.
Signup involves two kinds of text, and both are shown on this page. First, at step 1, the customer types their mobile number and taps "Text me a code", which sends a single one-time verification code ("Your Jupley code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes.") and nothing else. Then, at the final step, the checkbox below is the consent for ongoing service texts.

Let's introduce Jupley to your home.
Start with your mobile number. We'll text you a one-time code to verify it, and this is the number your assistant will use from now on.
The one-time code is the only text sent before the consent step, and only because the customer asked for it. On this page the form links to signup and sends nothing. Screenshot of the live step: jupley.com/sms/opt-in-phone-step.png.

From here on, just text Jupley
Your assistant works over regular text messages. No app to open.
- A reminder the day before each visit, and a note when it's done.
- Ask for anything: skip a visit, add a service, get something looked at.
- Reply STOP any time to opt out, HELP for help.
This is the same form shown to every customer at the end of signup. On this page it links to signup instead of submitting; it does not send messages or collect data.
What happens
- The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are linked directly in the consent statement; agreeing to them is part of the same checkbox.
- Checked and submitted: consent is recorded with a timestamp on the account and Jupley sends a welcome text.
- Data used for messaging: the customer's name, mobile number, home address, and the messages exchanged. It is used only for transactional messaging about their services and is never shared or sold for marketing.
- Left unchecked: no texts are sent; the customer uses the website instead. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Any time afterwards: reply STOP to opt out (one confirmation, then no further texts), START to opt back in, HELP for help or email support@jupley.com.
